This special edition release is now featuring period-correct wheels with a new tread pattern on the tires, the model retains the same reliable power unit, transmission, and body shell. Run it on 7.4v 2S to get accustomed to the handling, then switch to 3S for increased wheel-speed, acceleration, and torque. The final result is a stunning, highly collectible yet fully functional 1/8th scale RC car.
Carisma has created another M48S iconic rally model. They collaborated closely with Audi to create a 285mm SWB version of their M48S platform, resulting in a photo-realistic 1985 Audi Sport Quattro S1 in 1/8th scale.
The original Audi Quattro was the first rally car to effectively utilize all-wheel drive, setting a benchmark for future vehicles with similar drive-trains. Carisma aimed to replicate the Group B rally experience by fitting the model with a 550 Big Can Brushless Motor for optimal RPM and torque.
They updated the ESC to their proprietary ARC-3, allowing for the use of 2S or 3S LiPo batteries. Combined with 2.4GHz F.H.S.S. Radio Gear and a 3-differential, all-metal 4WD drivetrain, this setup delivers an authentic rally driving experience.
The model is an ARR (Almost Ready to Run), requiring users to add their own 7.2v NiMH, 7.4v LiPo, or 11.1v LiPo battery. The body has been meticulously reproduced using original design data, maintaining accuracy down to the SWB dimensions, different screen angles from the LWB Quattro, and a full replica livery, including the aerodynamic package.
